Mobile DVR temperature sensor

It is an undeniable fact that mobile DVR can significantly improve driving safety, facilitate fleet operations and protect assets. And in certain cases we can play some smart tricks to make your MDVR work better simply by adding external sensors. Take ICARVISIONS mobile DVRs for example, the strong expansibility turns all it’s MDVR models into “aircraft carriers” to accept a wide variety of sensor integration.

Today let’s see how temperature sensor works together with MDVR to protect assets in transit. It is particularly important for refrigerated trucks, whether they carry vegetables, fruits or vaccines.

About the temperature sensor

Features:
  • Operating voltage: 3.5V~5V
  • Temperature distance: 1M~500M
  • Operating temperature range: -30~+80℃
  • Storage conditions: -10℃~+40℃; relative humidity≤75% RH
  • Accuracy in tests via computer software: in a heated tank of 0.001 °, R25 ° reading error of ± 1 °
The sensing head of the temperature sensor detects the temperature and converts it into output signal transmittable to the MDVR. Being tested rigorously under pulling force, vibration, dropping, high and low temperature, moisture resistance and high-low temperature circulation, the sensor has high reliability and durability to weather harsh working conditions.

Output signal from the sensor will be processed by the MDVR and sent to the server, showing on the fleet management platform in the form of high/low temperature alarm and reports, for real-time monitoring and fleet operational data analysis and query.

Add temperature sensors to mobile DVR

Here’s a splicing diagram showing how to connect the temperature sensor to the MDVR:

Have two compartments on your refrigerated truck and want to add two temperature sensors? Don’t worry about it. This can be done by simply splitting the I/O cables into two, and connect to each of them a temperature sensor. But under this circumstance, the two temperature sensors are slightly different and you should make it clear to your sales consultant at ICARVISIOSNS.

Data Security Strategies of ICARVISOINS Mobile DVR

Data Security Strategies of ICARVISOINS Mobile DVR Picture1

Data security has been a great concern of any surveillance system. For mobile surveillance system this issue is more distinct due to the fact that mobile DVR works in more complicated environments. ICARVISIONS team makes great efforts in ensuring the date security of our MDVR system. Let us have a look of our data security strategies!

Data Security Strategies of ICARVISOINS Mobile DVR Picture2

1. Electric lock

The electric lock is at the front panel of the MDVR. It minimizes the risk of the HDD/ SD card being taken out by an unauthorized person or any deliberate sabotage of the data.

2. SD card mirror recording/HDD partition

ICARVISOINS MDVR’s can accept an additional SD card for mirror recording. In the case of HDD failure, data will start to record in the SD card.

HDD partition. Our HDD MDVR allows the partition of HDD into 2 sectors. That means even when one sector goes faulty, the other sector can still work to save the data.

3. HDD Anti-vibration

All ICARVISOINS HDD mobile DVR’s adopt military standard anti-vibration and anti-shock technology MIL-STD-810G-514.6C-3, one of the highest standard in its kind to effectively protect the HDD.

Truck Monitoring Solution

Why should trucks be outfitted with a mobile video system?

There are two main benefits:
1) to avoid accidents;
2) improve your fleet operation efficiency.

Trucks are usually large in size- that means higher risk of accident on the road. With a camera system, blind spots around the vehicle is no longer invisible to drivers. Also the mobile DVR can record and send out alarms when bad driving behaviors such as hard braking, hard cornering, rapid acceleration and speeding are detected. Even when an accident is unavoidable the video footage will be used as proof to reduce your company’s liability.

Further, in every unit of ICARVISIONS’ MDVR system we empower it with telematics fleet management technology. And this technology is visible via our Intelligent Vehicle Management System (IVMS), a software platform that can significantly help you know all details of your fleet operations with use friendly UI and various reports.
